Laura Bloem (born November 7, 1989 in Doetinchem ) is a Dutch beach volleyball player .

Career

Bloem started her career in the hall and played for Orion Doetinchem as a teenager . In 2010, she was among the top three as a beach volleyball player in several national tournaments. With Daniëlle Remmers she played her first FIVB World Tour tournament at The Hague Open and reached 17th place. In 2011, she and Marielle Kloek finished fifth in the satellite tournament in Vaduz . At the Phuket Open she first appeared with Roos van der Hoeven . In 2012, the duo played the Brasília Open and several other World Tour tournaments in China without reaching any of the top positions. Bloem later took part in three Grand Slams with Merel Mooren ; 25th place in Gstaad was the best result.

In 2013 Bloem formed a new duo with Rebekka Kadijk . Bloem / Kadijk were able to achieve some top 3 placements nationally. At the 2013 World Cup in Stare Jabłonki Bloem / Kadijk reached the main round, where they were eliminated against the top seeded Polish women Kołosińska / Brzostek . From 2014 to 2017 Bloem played with Marloes Wesselink , since 2016 mainly at national tournaments. Bloem has been playing alongside Jolien Sinnema since 2018 .
