Jon Watts (born June 28, 1981 in Fountain , Colorado ) is an American director , screenwriter and film producer .
Life
Watts studied film studies at New York University . After several short films, he started making his first productions for television in 2011. His feature film debut Clown was released in 2014 .
On June 23, 2015, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures announced that Watts would direct the 2017 reboot Spider-Man: Homecoming . The film was released in German cinemas on July 13, 2017.
Watts lives in Atlanta , Georgia .
