Jonas Casimir von Auer

Jonas Casimir von Auer (* 1658 Pilshöfen near Balga; † March 5, 1721 ) was a Prussian colonel , chief of infantry regiment No. 9 and heir to Pilshöfen (Amt Balga ), Mollehnen and Lichtenfeld.

Life

Military career

Auer joined the Brandenburg Army at an early age. Under Elector Friedrich Wilhelm I , in 1701 he became a lieutenant colonel in the "Margrave Philipp" infantry regiment No. 12 . On October 6, 1706 he became a colonel in the "Finkenstein" infantry regiment No. 14 and stayed here until 1716. In 1719 he received the "von Heyden" infantry regiment No. 9 from the king. Auer remained the owner until his death.

family

Auer was married to Barbara Luise von Kanitz (* 1685; † 30 July 1730), daughter of the privy councilor Friedrich Wilhelm von Kanitz . She had several children including:

  • Christoph Albrecht (born February 26, 1710; † July 23, 1794) President of the Chamber ⚭ 1735 Rosa von Mirande (1718–1790), daughter of Johann Heinrich Mirande du Treuil (parents of General Johann Kasimir von Auer (1736–1809))

The couple's contemporary paintings are in the Secret State Archive of Prussian Cultural Heritage , where the Auer family's estate is also kept.
