Jonas Tauginas
Jonas Tauginas (born June 15, 1946 in Ožaičiai , Radviliškis district ; † June 9, 1999 in Vadaktai near Radviliškis ) was a Lithuanian forester and politician , Deputy Minister of Forestry of Lithuania .
Life
After graduating from secondary school in Sidabravas in 1964 , Jonas Tauginas graduated from the Faculty of Forestry at Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in 1971 and became a forest engineer in Soviet Lithuania . From 1967 to 1968 he worked at the Lithuanian Ministry of Forestry . From 1969 to 1973 he was the district forester of Arvydai .
On October 22, 1992, Prime Minister Aleksandras Abišala appointed him Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Forestry. In 1993 Prime Minister Adolfas Šleževičius exonerated him . In 1985 he received his doctorate from the Severzov Institute for Ecology in Moscow as a candidate for science. From 1974 to 1989 he worked at the Research Institute of Zoology and Parasitology of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences . From 1989 to 1991 he taught at the Lietuvos vadybos akademija .
