Jonas Tesarz

Jonas Tesarz (* 1979 in Leimen ) is a German doctor , specialist in internal medicine and university professor . He has been a private lecturer at Heidelberg University Hospital since 2017 .

Jonas Tesarz studied philosophy and linguistics from 2004 to 2005 and medicine in Heidelberg from 2000 to 2007 . His doctorate as Dr. med. was carried out in 2013 on differences in the spinal expression of c-Fos and FosB immunoreactive neurons in the spinal cord of the rat after irritation of nociceptive fibers of the skin and muscles by Siegfried Mense . In 2017 he completed his habilitation with Venia legendi in general internal medicine and psychosomatics.

From 2008 to the beginning of 2014, Tesarz was a research associate or further education assistant at various institutions at Heidelberg University. Then he was a specialist in internal medicine at the Clinic for General Internal Medicine and Psychosomatics at the University of Heidelberg until March 2017 . This was followed by the management of the psychosomatic consultancy and liaison service of the irritable bowel clinic at the Heidelberg University Hospital until 2018 and, since 2017, the position as senior physician at the clinic for general internal medicine and psychosomatics. In addition, he works as a private lecturer and since 07/2019 sub-project leader in the DFG - Collaborative Research Center 1158.

He is editor of the book series Complex Crises and Disruptions at Klett-Cotta (together with Günter H. Seidler and Annette Streek-Fischer ).

In Germany he is regarded as one of the experts on EMDR .
