Jonathan Carril Regueiro , short Jonathan , (born February 28, 1984 in Boqueixón ) is a Spanish football player on the position of a striker . He currently plays for Kitchee SC .

Career

Jonathan started his career in the youth of FC Barcelona , where he could not prevail in the end. He later joined the B teams of Deportivo La Coruña and UD Levante . From 2006 to 2007 he played for the first time in a first team at Racing de Ferrol , after which there were interludes at third-class Spanish clubs (CD Linares, UD Villa de Santa Brigida, PD Santa Eulalia).

After scouts from Austria noticed the striker, he moved to SV Ried in the Austrian Bundesliga in summer 2009.

Jonathan made his debut on July 18, 2009 in the first round of the 2009/10 season against Kapfenberger SV when he came on for Stefan Lexa in the 90th minute . A minute after being substituted on, he got a yellow card.

In the 1st round of the ÖFB-Cup 2009/10 he drew attention to himself with his special achievements. After being substituted on for Hamdi Salihi in the 79th minute , he scored two goals in the 88th and 92nd minute and was instrumental in the 3-0 win over FC Wels . His teammate Martin Grasegger scored his first goal as a professional footballer in the fourth minute of the game .

During the summer break before the 2010/11 season , the Spaniard moved to the promoted team in Austria's second division, SV Grödig .
