Jonathan Orozco (born May 12, 1986 in Monterrey , Nuevo León ) is a Mexican football player in the position of goalkeeper .

Life

Orozco has been under contract throughout his career as a professional footballer exclusively with his hometown club CF Monterrey , for whom he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División on August 13, 2005 in the home game against Atlas Guadalajara , when he was used over the full distance of ninety minutes and kept his box clean in his team's 1-0 victory.

In the previous 2004/05 season, Orozco had already been able to gain initial experience in the 2005 Clausura with the Monterrey farm team Cobras Ciudad Juarez playing in the second division .

Over the years, the number of his appearances increased and since the 2009/10 season Orozco is the regular goalkeeper of his club, with which he won the Mexican championship in the 2009 Apertura . Just one year later, in Apertura 2010 , Orozco won the championship title again with the Rayados and in both cases also won the CONCACAF Champions League competition held in the following year .

National team

So far, Orozco has been used twice for the Mexican national team, which won both games 5-0 with his participation: on February 24, 2010 against Bolivia and on October 12, 2012 against Guyana.
