Jonathan Schächter

Jonathan "Jontsch" Schächter (born March 1, 1982 in Zurich ) is a Swiss radio and television presenter . In Switzerland he was as a radio host of the show Energy Downtown radio station Energy Zurich known. He currently moderates gala and event events. Jontsch has been back at Energy Zurich since 2017, where he alternates with Roman Kilchsperger to host the Energy Mein Morgen show. Before that, he hosted the Abig show he designed on Radio 24 and, together with Anneta Politi, the SWR3 morningshow.

Life

At the age of 13, Jonathan Schächter presented his first radio show on Radio LoRa . This was followed by engagements as a sports reporter at Radio UniSpital and Radio Zürisee . He gained his first experience in front of the camera with the youth broadcast VideoGang on the Swiss channels TeleZüri and Tele24 . In the fall of 2001, Schächter began studying sociology at Yeshiva University in New York . While still in New York, he founded the radio and TV production company Provoke! Productions, with which he a. a. produced the program Trash TV for TeleZüri.

After completing his studies, he moved back to Zurich in autumn 2004 , where he did an internship as a moderator at Energy Zurich in winter 2004 . In 2006 he switched to the German radio broadcaster bigFM , where he hosted the morning program JobConnection with Jontsch for a year . In 2007 he accepted an offer from his old station Energy Zürich to host an evening show he had designed himself. There he moderated the program Energy Downtown until 2012 . Other tasks followed on television, such as moderating the Energy Stars For Free and the Swiss Music Awards at ProSieben Switzerland or the street parade at 3+ .

After a two-month break, he decided in 2012 to leave Energy Zurich and switch to Radio 24 . He also developed the concept for his Abig show , which he moderates daily from 3pm to 7pm. He also moderates gala and event events such as the Swiss Nightlife Awards, the Swiss Fashion Awards or the STV Gala.

Since 2013 Schächter was also seen on German television. Here he hosted the show Wer's brings, wins on the EinsPlus digital channel . Their first season was broadcast in the summer of 2013, a second season followed in March 2014.

From August 2016 to September 2017 he hosted the SWR3 morningshow together with Anneta Politi , alternating with Sascha Zeus and Michael Wirbitzky every two weeks . In August 2017 it was announced that Schächter was returning to Energy Zurich and alternating with Roman Kilchsperger to present the program Energy Mein Morgen .
