Jong Nederland
Jong Nederland is a Catholic youth organization in Horst aan de Maas (Netherlands). Jong Nederland is a founding member of the international umbrella organization of Catholic youth organizations " Fimcap ".
history
It was founded on December 6, 1944, right after the southern provinces of the Netherlands had been liberated from Nazi occupation. The aim was to create an association for all Catholic youth in the Netherlands and to unite all the different Catholic youth associations that had existed before the war and the 1941 ban by the Nazis. Not all associations joined the merger, but Jong Nederland developed into the most important Catholic youth organization in the Netherlands.
