Chiro Philippines ( Filipino : Chiro Pilipinas ) is a Filipino Catholic youth organization and a member of the international umbrella organization of Catholic youth organizations " Fimcap ".

history

The first structures of Catholic youth work developed in Europe in the 19th century. Among other things, this resulted in the Chiro movement in Flanders . Belgian missionaries also brought this youth work concept to the Philippines . Chiro was initiated in the Philippines on January 10, 1952 by Brother Francis Gevers CICM . The seat is Quezon City .
