The Jordanne is a river in southwest France and runs in the Cantal department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It arises in the Monts du Cantal , on the southern flank of the Puy de Peyre Arse , by the confluence of several source streams. Its origins lie in the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park , at an altitude of 1290 meters. The Jordanne generally drains south-west and flows into the Cère after 41 kilometers just below Aurillac as a right tributary .
