Jorge Guerricaechevarría , also Jorge Guerrica Echevarría (born November 30, 1964 in Avilés , Asturias , Spain ) is a Spanish screenwriter of Basque descent.

Life

Jorge Guerricaechevarría studied history at the University of the Basque Country , where he met the future director Álex de la Iglesia . He co-wrote almost all of the scripts for his films, including Aktion Mutante , Perdita Durango and Oxford Murders . He received four nominations for the Spanish Goya film award for his scripts , including winning him for his work on Cell 211 . In addition to this award, he received a 2010 European Film Award nomination for Best Screenplay .
