Jorge Pupo (born January 12, 1960 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban actor , voice actor and producer.

Life

Pupo was born on January 12, 1960 in Santiago de Cuba. He moved with his family into exile to Madrid to before he New York in 1970 in the United States could emigrate. He then lived in Providence , Rhode Island and West New York , New Jersey . He later went to San Juan , where he attended military and Catholic high schools . He graduated from Colegio Madre Cabrini in 1977 and later went to Drew University in Madison on a scholarship . During his undergraduate studies, he was one of the founders of the Drew University Dramatic Society , where he worked with director Buzz McLaughlin . They created the DUDS Cheekie Award , which is presented annually at Drew University to this day. Pupo moved to New York University in 1979 and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

After completing his studies, Pupo began to turn his hobby into a profession. He began his career at Guede Films , working with established directors such as Orlando Jiménez Leal and Néstor Almendros . At Max Mambru Films he assisted for the first time on films and music videos by John Waite , Rubén Blades and Jose Alberto . Pupo worked for many years with advertising specialist Justo Rodriguez Santos at Goya Food's Inter-Americas Advertising .

As an actor and collaborator at Repertorio Español , he has traveled all over the world and has appeared in both classic and modern plays such as: El Burlador de Sevilla ( Tirso de Molina ), Don Juan Tenorio ( Zorrilla ) and Café con Leche (Gonzalez). For this he also won various prizes. He produced and wrote various commercials for Repertorio Español in the 1980s.

Jorge Pupo is known today not only as an actor, but also as a voice actor. He speaks thousands of television characters, does radio commercials and also dubbed various characters in Rockstar Games ' Grand Theft Auto series.
