José María Querejeta Mendizábal
José María Mendizábal Querejeta CMF (* 10. December 1921 in Urrestilla ; † 26. September 1997 ) was a Roman Catholic religious priest and prelate of Isabela .
Life
José María Querejeta Mendizábal joined the Order of the Claretians and was ordained a priest on June 9, 1946 . Paul VI appointed him on October 24, 1963 as prelate of Isabela and titular bishop of Eressus .
The Archbishop of Manila , Rufino Jiao Cardinal Santos , donated him episcopal ordination on December 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Gregorio Espiga e Infante OAR , Vicar Apostolic of Palawan , and Juan Bautista Velasco Díaz OP , Bishop of Xiamen .
He attended the third session of the Second Vatican Council . On January 28, 1989, he resigned from office.
