One of the highlights of Montes-Baquer's cinematic oeuvre was the “Journey to High Mongolia” project with Salvador Dalí . With its visual means, Montes-Baquer became the partner of Maurice Béjart , Salvatore Dalí, Eugène Ionesco , Roland Petit and Karlheinz Stockhausen . With his help, they found access to the unknown medium of television.

Television compositions were commissioned by him in collaboration with Jan Bark, John Cage, Mauricio Kagel, Jan W. Morthenson, Luc Ferrari, and Bernard Parmegiani and developed into an independent form of representation that was inconceivable beyond the medium of television.
