José Rafael Barquero Arce
José Rafael Barquero Arce (born October 27, 1931 in San Rafael de Heredia ) is a Costa Rican Roman Catholic priest and former bishop of Alajuela .
Life
Stanislas Kaburungu was ordained a priest on December 22, 1956 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Alajuela diocese . On March 28, 1979, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Alajuela and titular bishop of Arindela .
The Apostolic Nuncio in Costa Rica , Lajos Kada , consecrated him on May 1 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Enrique Bolaños Quesada , Bishop of Alajuela, and Ignacio Nazareno Trejos Picado , Bishop of San Isidro de El General .
On December 22nd, 1980 he was appointed Bishop of Alajuela. Pope Benedict XVI accepted his age-related retirement on July 3, 2007.
