Josef Büche
Josef Büche (born February 29, 1848 in Vienna , † August 13, 1917 in Linz-Urfahr ) was an Austrian portrait painter.
Born the son of a painter, Büche studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Eduard von Engerth and Carl Wurzinger . He received an overall study award.
Büche portrayed many members of the Austrian imperial family and other outstanding personalities.
From 1881 to 1901 he worked in Innsbruck . In 1883 he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus .
In addition to his own works, he also restored works by other painters.
Büche illustrated the "Austro-Hungarian monarchy in words and pictures". He exhibited his works at art exhibitions.
