Josef Falbisoner
Josef Falbisoner (born April 10, 1950 in Mettenheim , Mühldorf district) is a former German trade union official. He was a member of the Bavarian Senate and regional director of ver.di Bavaria.
Life
At the age of 14, Falbisoner began training as a telecommunications technician at what was then the Deutsche Bundespost . Later he worked as a civil servant in the middle telecommunications service at the Federal Post Office.
From the age of 18 he took on various voluntary activities in the area of the postal union at the time . As a youth representative, staff council and as a released district staff council, his main task was to represent the workers and civil servants of the Federal Post Office at that time and later Telekom. In addition, he graduated from the vocational school and in 1971 acquired the technical college entrance qualification.
In 1993 he was elected chairman of the German Postal Union (DPG) in Upper Bavaria and Swabia . Four years later he took over the chairmanship of the DPG Südbayern, two years later he led the DPG in the Bavarian region. During this time he was a member of both the main board and the trade union council of the DPG. With the merger of the five founding unions DPG, HBV , ÖTV , DAG and IG Medien to form the United Service Union ver.di in 2001, he became their regional district manager in Bavaria until 2010. From 1993 to 2010 he was also the district executive of the DGB Bavaria .
From 1997 to 2010 he was a member of the Deutsche Telekom Supervisory Board . In 1990 he became an honorary member of the board, later a member of the supervisory board of PSD Bank Munich , and its chairman from 2011 to June 2016. From 1995 to 2020 he took on responsibility as a member representative at the United Post Insurance (VVaG) . From January 1, 1996 to December 31, 1999 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate . He has been a member of the SPD since 1971 .
He has lived in Munich since 1964, is married and has two children.
