Josef Ivanović (born December 5, 1973 in Bielefeld ) is a German football player .

Career

The striker began his career with SF Sennestadt , a club from Bielefeld and moved to the first division Arminia Bielefeld for the 1996/97 season . After a total of 19 appearances in the first division, Ivanovic moved to second division SV Meppen in January 1999 on loan .

Ivanović played here in a total of 13 second division games and scored one goal before returning to Arminia Bielefeld for the 1999/2000 season . Here, however, he only played in one game and was transferred to the regional league club 1. FC Magdeburg in the winter break of 1999/2000 , with whom he was relegated and promoted and reached the quarter-finals in the 2000/01 DFB Cup . He scored 28 goals in 39 games.

After almost 18 months in Magdeburg, Ivanović returned to professional football for the 2001/02 season with a move to the second division Alemannia Aachen . In Aachen he was able to score 22 goals in two seasons and played 53 second division games.

For the 2003/04 season Josef Ivanović moved within the second division to MSV Duisburg , where he played a total of 21 games and scored one goal. At the end of the 2004/05 season he achieved promotion to the Bundesliga with the Duisburgers. As a result of a torn cruciate ligament , Ivanović only played one game in the following 2005/06 season and moved to the regional division TuS Koblenz for the winter break .

After the rise of Koblenz at the end of the season, Ivanović moved to the upper division FC Sachsen Leipzig . For the 2007/08 season he moved to SC Wiedenbrück 2000 , but on November 30, 2007, his contract there was dissolved by mutual agreement.

Josef Ivanović is now a sports teacher at a Lahnsteiner Gymnasium and has been playing again for SG Düngenheim / Urmersbach / Masburg in the district class A Hunsrück / Mosel since January 2011.
