Josef Karl Kern

Josef Karl Kern (born March 17, 1766 in Waldshut ; † October 10, 1852 in Karlsruhe ) was a lawyer and politician from Baden .

origin

Kern's father was the office administrator in Waldshut. Josef Karl Kern belonged to the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Kern studied law at the University of Freiburg , where he received his doctorate in law (Dr. iur.) In 1792 . From 1794 to 1797 he worked as a lawyer . In 1807 he became bailiff of the city of Freiburg , in 1810 a councilor in Lörrach and in 1813 returned to Freiburg in the same position. In 1820 he became court judge in Meersburg and in 1841 government director in Konstanz . In 1844 he retired.

politics

Kern belonged to the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly from 1819 to 1828 and again from 1837 to 1838 and 1846 to 1848 and became its President in 1820 and 1825.
