Josef Lambert Trip
Josef Lambert Trip (born September 2, 1819 , † December 22, 1878 in Düsseldorf ) was a Prussian officer and mayor and a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation .
Life
Trip served as a Prussian officer from 1838 to 1849. In the Schleswig-Holstein war he was captain of the Schleswig-Holstein army, was injured near Idstedt in autumn 1849 and was taken prisoner by the Danish authorities . He later worked for the railway and in 1858 he became mayor of Solingen .
In 1867 Josef Lambert Trip was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Düsseldorf 3 ( Solingen ) and the German Progressive Party . He stood in opposition to the politics of Otto von Bismarck , who advocated a small German solution under Prussian leadership, and voted no in the vote on the constitution of the North German Confederation.
