Josef Lothar Entres
Josef Lothar Entres (also Joseph ; born June 22, 1883 in Würzburg , † after 1945) was a German psychiatrist .
Live and act
He studied medicine and received his doctorate in 1907 at the University of Würzburg . From 1908 to 1916 he worked at the sanatorium and nursing home in Werneck , then as a senior physician at the sanatorium and nursing home in Eglfing . In 1928 he was appointed director of the Werneck sanatorium. In 1933 Entres came into conflict with the NSDAP as an avowed Catholic . He was arrested and put on trial in Bamberg . In January 1935 he was forcibly transferred to the Kutzenberg sanatorium and nursing home as director , where he worked until it was closed in 1946.
Entres was a student of the eugenicist Ernst Rüdin . His specialty was Huntington's disease . Under his directorate, sterilizations and - against his will - collections for the murder of patients were carried out in Kutzenberg as part of the T4 campaign.
