Josef Ortner (District Administrator)

Josef Ortner (born February 25, 1891 in Paderborn ; † May 21, 1951 in Warburg ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and district administrator .

Life

Ortner studied law in Heidelberg and Münster from 1911 . In 1920 he completed his legal clerkship and in 1924 worked as a magistrate assessor in Bottrop . In 1927 he was a government assessor in Osnabrück . From 1926 to 1927 Ortner worked as district administrator in the district of Schwerin an der Warthe in the border region of Posen-West Prussia . From 1927 he was transferred to the same post in the Deutsch Krone district . After the takeover of the NSDAP Ortner was born on April 6, 1933 sent into temporary retirement .

During the Second World War , Ortner was drafted into service with the district government in Minden . After the war ended, he was appointed district administrator in the Warburg district in 1945 . He worked at this post until 1946.
