Josef Riepl

Josef Franz Riepl (born July 8, 1898 in Regensburg ; † December 17, 1987 in Munich ) was a German building contractor.

Josef Riepl was a son of Josef (1866–1932) and Maria Riepl, née Rösch (1871–1950).

He completed his studies with a degree in engineering. He was the founder (1925) and owner of Josef Riepl AG Bauunternehmung (originally Josef Riepl GmbH Munich) in Munich as well as a partner in the company Josef Riepl GmbH in Regensburg, which his father Josef Riepl founded in 1893. Today this is a subsidiary of Ed. Züblin AG is.

He was a board member of the Main Association of the German Construction Industry and acted as Thai Consul General for Bavaria.

Riepl was married twice. First marriage to Emilie Riepl, née Wohlmuth (1901–1993), and her second marriage to Käte Lydia Riepl, née Lutz (1911–2002). The family grave is located on the Winthir cemetery in Munich-Neuhausen.

His brother Hugo (1911–1974) was President of the Regensburg Chamber of Commerce .
