Josef Rissaweg (* 1844 in Vienna ; † May 6, 1911 ibid) was district chairman of the 10th Viennese district of Favoriten and a local politician.

Josef Rissaweg was the son of an army arms manufacturer from Erlachgasse . The innkeeper and homeowner was an honorary member of several non-profit associations and a treasurer as well as in the administrative committee of the children's institution and the first day care center in Favoriten. From 1890 to 1891 Rissaweg was district chairman of Favoriten, from 1890 to 1911 a local councilor , and between 1895 and 1911 also a city ​​councilor . He was seen as a supporter of the anti-Semitic - völkisch camp under the leadership of Georg von Schönerer . In 1896 Rissaweg was involved in the establishment of the municipal council group " German National Association".

In 1911 the Rissaweggasse in Vienna-Favoriten was named after him.
