Josef Tesař (born March 11, 1927 in Velim ; † June 29, 2007 ) was a Czechoslovak volleyball player .
Career
Tesař was twice vice world champion with the Czechoslovak national team ( 1949 in Prague and 1952 in Moscow ) and 1956 in Paris world champion. In addition, the middle blocker was three times European champion ( 1948 in Rome , 1955 in Bucharest and 1958 in Prague ) and in 1950 in Sofia vice-European champion.
With his clubs AFK Sokol Kolín and ÚDA Prague / Dukla Prague / Dukla Kolín Tesař was Czechoslovakian champion eleven times. In 2019 he was posthumously inducted into the " Volleyball Hall of Fame ".
