Josef Zmijewski

Josef Zmijewski (born December 23, 1940 in Essen ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After graduating from the Dreikönigsgymnasium in 1959 , he studied philosophy and theology in Bonn , Freiburg im Breisgau and Cologne . Joseph Frings ordained him on February 11, 1965 as a priest. He was chaplain at St. Lambertus (Düsseldorf) . During his postgraduate studies in 1967 he was parish administrator at St. Martinus (Ollheim) , subsidiar at Herz-Jesu-Kirche (Bad Godesberg) and religion teacher at the Irmgardis grammar school . From 1973 he was Subsidiar at the Bonn Minster . After graduating as Dr. theol. in June 1972 he was a research assistant at the University of Bonn . After his habilitation , he was appointed professor for New Testament Exegesis and New Testament Introductory Studies and Biblical Greek at the Fulda Theological Faculty in April 1980 . He retired on July 31, 2006 .
