Baron Joseph Anselm Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden , from 1790 Count Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden (born June 3, 1728 at Gut Hohenstadt , Württemberg ; † February 25, 1805 in Augsburg ) was a German knight captain.

Life

He was a scion of the Swabian noble family Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden , named after the castle Adelmannsfelden ( Ostalbkreis ) . His parents were Philipp Rudolf Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden (1689–1762) and Maria Anna Stain von Rechtenstein (1700–1765). On December 20, 1753, Joseph-Anselm married in Haag (The Hague, Netherlands) Maria Johanna Freiin von Reischach (born October 9, 1731 in Freiburg im Breisgau , Württemberg; † August 15, 1787 in Hohenstadt), the daughter of Judas Thaddäus Adam Johann Joseph Freiherr von Reischach (1698–1782). He was kuk chamberlain , electoral Trier secret council and knight captain of the canton Kocher . His property included Hohenstadt and Schechingen (both in what is now the Ostalb district). At the end of the 18th century, Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden was one of the most active representatives of the imperial knighthood . He was raised to the rank of imperial count by the Bavarian elector Karl Theodor (as imperial vicar ) on September 22, 1790 . He was buried on his Hohenstadt estate.
