Joseph Anton von Königsfeld

Joseph Anton Graf von Königsfeld (born June 6, 1749 , † December 6, 1805 in Altötting ) was a Bavarian prelate and landscape councilor.

Life

Joseph Anton by King field came from the family of the Earl of Königsfeld , which in the 18th century the most distinguished noble families of Old Bavaria count and was in 1759 canon in Freising , later infulierter provost of St. Martin in Landshut and provost of the Bavarian Palatinate Equestrian Order of the Holy. George (1770). From 1791 until its secularization in 1803 he was the 39th and last provost of the Altötting collegiate monastery . From 1792 to 1793 he was the prelate tax collector, that is, the collector of the landscape taxes from the rural monasteries. From 1793 to 1794 Landsteurer and from 1793 to 1803 ordinator of the Bavarian landscapefor the Bavarian Oberland, Rentamt Burghausen (in the first year as a representative of the abbot Augustinus Sedlmayr from Kloster Seeon ).

On July 19, 1793, he was elected (last) scholaster by the cathedral chapter in Freising and confirmed by the president of the spiritual government, who was specially authorized by the bishop, in the presence of cathedral chapter Heinrich Karl Freiherrn von Schreckenstein and Hubert Graf von Waldkirch.

He died on December 6, 1805 at the age of 57 in Altötting and was buried in the Michaeli cemetery. His splendid grave monument in the classical style is preserved on the south side of the church. In Altötting, Königsfeldstrasse is named after him.
