Joseph Henry Ganda

Joseph Henry Ganda (born March 7, 1932 in Serabu ) is a Sierra Leonean priest and old archbishop of Freetown .

Life

Joseph Henry Ganda was ordained a priest on April 9, 1961 . Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Kenema on November 11, 1970 .

The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Liberia and Vicar Apostolic of Monrovia , Francis Carroll SMA , donated him episcopal ordination on February 21 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Thomas Joseph Brosnahan CSSp , Archbishop of Freetown and Bo, and John Kodwo Amissah , Archbishop of Cape Coast .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Freetown and Bo on September 4, 1980 . On March 22, 2007, Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
