John O'Riordan

John C. O'Riordan CSSp (born January 6, 1924 in Effin , County Limerick , Ireland ; † November 22, 2016 ) was an Irish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Kenema in Sierra Leone .

Life

John C. O'Riordan joined the Congregation of the Holy Ghost in and received on 29 June 1952, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Kenema on June 4, 1984 . The Archbishop of Freetown and Bo , Joseph Henry Ganda , ordained him episcopal on December 2 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Michael Kpakala Francis , Archbishop of Monrovia , and Boniface Nyema Dalieh , Bishop of Cape Palmas .

On April 26, 2002, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
