Joseph LoDuca

Joseph LoDuca (* 1958 in Detroit ) is an American composer of film music . He is best known for the theme songs of the television series Hercules and Xena .

Life

Until Joseph LoDuca was hired by Sam Raimi as a composer for Tanz der Teufel in 1979 , he was a jazz guitarist. He then continued to work as a composer for films and television series. He often works with Sam Raimi on this. His work includes more than 80 film and television productions.

Joseph LoDuca was nominated eight times for an Emmy and has won it twice (2000 for the Xena episode Fallen Angels , 2009 for Legend of the Seeker - The Sword of Truth ). Between 1997 and 2001 he won 5 ASCAP awards. In 2002 he was also nominated for a César in the category “Best Film Music” for the Pact of the Wolves .
