Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường
Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường ( Vietnamese : Giuse Nguyễn Đức Cường ; born October 14, 1953 in Quang Truong , Vietnam ) is a Vietnamese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Thanh Hóa .
Life
His name combines western name tradition ( Joseph as first name before the family name Nguyễn ) with Vietnamese ( Đức Cường as a personal name is behind the family name).
Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Đà Lạt on June 27, 1992 .
On April 25, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Thanh Hóa. The Archbishop of Huế , his predecessor in office Joseph Nguy Chn Chí Linh , donated him episcopal ordination on June 27 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the bishop of Phát Diệm , Joseph Nguyên Năng , and the coadjutor bishop of Đà Lạt, Dominic Nguyễn Van Manh .
