Joseph Stübicher (* 1706 in Fladnitz an der Teichalm ; † February 10, 1775 in Wiener Neustadt ) was an Austrian Cistercian and abbot .
life and work
Stübicher (also: Stibicher ) was a pastor in Muthmannsdorf , then from 1746 until his death abbot of the Neukloster monastery in Wiener Neustadt. A golden age is associated with his name in the history of the monastery. Through the structural beautification of the monastery and library, as well as through the acquisition of valuable books (including the library of Bishop Ferdinand von Hallweil ), he acquired the reputation of a "second donor".
