Joseph Theodorus Suwatan MSC (born April 10, 1940 in Tegal ) is Bishop of Manado .
Life
Joseph Theodorus Suwatan joined the religious order of the Sacred Heart Missionaries and was ordained a priest on January 8, 1969 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Manado on February 8, 1990 .
The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Indonesia , Francesco Canalini , consecrated him bishop on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Theodorus Hubertus Moors MSC, Former Bishop of Manado, and Julius Riyadi Cardinal Darmaatmadja SJ , Archbishop of Jakarta and Military Bishop of Indonesia .
