Joseph Vincent Brennan (born March 20, 1954 in Van Nuys , California , United States ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Fresno .
Life
Joseph V. Brennan received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles on June 21, 1980 .
On 21 July 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Trofimiana and auxiliary bishop in Los Angeles. The Archbishop of Los Angeles, José Horacio Gómez , donated him and the simultaneously appointed auxiliary bishops Robert Barron and David G. O'Connell episcopal ordination on September 8 of the same year . Co- consecrators were Archbishop of Chicago , Blase Joseph Cupich , and Joseph Martin Sartoris , Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus in Los Angeles.
On March 5, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Fresno. The inauguration took place on May 2 of the same year.
