Josephine Terlecki (born February 17, 1986 in Weimar ) is a German shot putter .

career path

Terlecki is a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr sports promotion group in Frankenberg, Saxony .

Athletic career

At the 2011 European Indoor Championships in Paris, she won the bronze medal in the shot put with a personal best of 18.09 m. She also took third place at the German Championships in Kassel . At the World Championships in Daegu , she could not qualify for the final. After taking second place behind Nadine Kleinert at the German Championships in Bochum-Wattenscheid in 2012 with a personal best of 18.87 m , she came fourth at the European Championships in Helsinki with a distance of 18.33 m. By contrast, she missed the finals at the Olympic Games in London .

At the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg in 2013 Terlecki initially finished sixth and later moved up to fifth place because of the subsequent disqualification of Yevgenia Kolodko .

In 2017 Terlecki came 4th at the German Indoor Championships in Leipzig and was German runner-up in Erfurt .

Club affiliations

Terlecki started 2011-2016 for the SC Magdeburg , before that she was active for the LG Ohra Hörselgas . On January 1, 2016, she moved to SV Halle .
