Josip Lendovšek
Josip Lendovšek (born March 17, 1854 in Ceste near Rohitsch , † September 19, 1895 in Sternberg am Wörther See ) was a Slovenian philologist and educator .
The brother of the writer Mihael Lendovšek studied education, German and Slavic studies at the University of Graz from 1875 to 1879 . From 1881 he was teaching in Graz. From 1884 he worked in Villach . Here he was a co-founder of the school association Cyrill and Method . He was also an employee of the newspaper Mir, published in Klagenfurt . He made a contribution to the introduction of Slovene lessons at the grammar schools in Villach and Klagenfurt and published several textbooks.
