Joy Lee Juana Abiola-Müller (born June 29, 1991 in Berlin ; née Abiola ) is a German actress .

Life

Abiola-Müller is the daughter of a Nigerian and a German and spent her childhood in Berlin-Hermsdorf . She has two brothers, the older one is also an actor. She grew up bilingual and therefore speaks fluent French in addition to German . At first she wanted to become an art teacher, but she became interested in acting at an early age and took part in the theater group at her grammar school from the 5th grade. In 2005 she appeared in the music video for Perfect Girl by Kim Wilde , in 2007 in the video for Sehnsucht by Schiller and Xavier Naidoo . In 2008 Abiola-Müller made a short appearance in the film Die Welle , as well as in the series Turkish for Beginners . In April of the same year, she moved into the teenage flat share , a format of ProSieben magazine taff .

In the summer of 2008 Abiola-Müller took part in a casting for the soap opera Unter uns , which was broadcast on RTL , and got a leading role . She then dropped out of school after the 10th grade and moved from Berlin to Cologne . From November 2008, Abiola-Müller played the role of Michelle "Micki" Lassner (née Fink) , who had been involved since January 2009. In 2015, she left the series for a baby break. In 2016 she returned for a short time.

For the music project d'bella of her fellow actor from Unter uns Isabell Hertel, Abiola-Müller appeared in the 2011 music video for Stay Away . In 2012 she was nominated for the Soap Award , as well as Miss Soap 2012 by TV Digital magazine , where she was 7th. She received the Soap Award 2012 for “Socially responsible storytelling in a soap opera” because of her HIV-infected role in Unter uns .

Abiola-Müller takes part in many charity campaigns such as World AIDS Day , Laughter for Kids , Bowlday , animal welfare campaigns and the Run of Colors .

With her husband and her colleagues among us Claudelle Deckert , Lars Steinhöfel and Maximilian Claus , she took part in a special of the cooking program The Perfect Celebrity Dinner , which was filmed in August 2012 and broadcast in May 2013.

In 2014 and 2015 she blogged on her YouTube channel Joytastic , which she gave up for her daughter.

Private

Abiola-Müller married her colleague from Unter uns Patrick Müller in July 2011 at the registry office in Hamburg-Altona , with whom she also played a married couple in the series. In 2015 Abiola-Müller gave birth to a daughter and in 2019 a son.
