Joy Udo-Gabriel (born June 2, 1999 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian sprinter .

Athletic career

Joy Udo-Gabriel gained her first international experience at the Commonwealth Games 2018 in the Australian Gold Coast , where she was eliminated in the 100-meter run with 11.53 s in the semi-finals and with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay in 42 , 75s won the bronze medal behind the teams from England and Jamaica. In the summer she won the African Championships in Asaba with the relay in 43.77 s and won the bronze medal over 100 meters behind the Ivorian Marie-Josée Ta Lou and Janet Amponsah from Ghana in 11.58 s . At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , she was eliminated from the preliminary round with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay with 45.07 seconds. In August she finished fourth at the Africa Games in Rabat in 11.44 s and won the relay in 44.16 s.

In 2019 Udo-Gabriel became Nigerian champion in the 100 and 200 meter run.
