Juan Carlos Acosta , full name Juan Carlos Acosta Del Priore , (born July 28, 1957 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.86-meter-tall offensive player Acosta started his career in 1975 in the ranks of River Plate Montevideo . He later played for Cosmos New York . In the season 1981/82 he completed in Spain with Burgos CF from his debut on September 27, 1981 against UD Levante to his last appearance on May 16, 1982 against FC Elche 20 games in the Segunda División and scored two goals. This was followed by an engagement with Recreativo Huelva three personally goalless second division appearances in the 1982/83 season between October 24, 1982 and January 23, 1983. During the 1983/84 season he was under contract with Terranova in Italy . From the 1984/85 season he was listed as a player in the French club CO Le Puy , for whom he played eleven times in Division 2 and scored six goals. In the following season he also played 30 second division games and scored 16 times in the opposing goal. The season 1986/87 he spent in the ranks of the SCO Angers , for 30 second division appearances and five hits are recorded. In 1987/88 he continued his career at Red Star 93 . There he was used 14 times in Division 3 . His personal scoring is given as five hits. In the season 1988/89 he worked as a player-coach at Ambert. The last club station after his professional career, which ended in 1988, was named Thiers in the 1989/90 season.

National team

Acosta was part of the Uruguayan U-20 national team , which took part in the Junior South American Championship in Peru in 1975 and won the title. During the tournament he was used by coach Walter Brienza in one game (no goal).

Others

Acosta is married to the owner of a sportswear company based in Le Puy and therefore settled in central France after the end of his professional career. He is the father of a daughter born in February 1986.
