Juan Carlos Elizalde Espinal (born June 25, 1960 in Mezquíriz , Navarra , Spain ) is Bishop of Vitoria .

Life

Juan Carlos Elizalde Espinal received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Pamplona y Tudela on October 3, 1987 .

On January 8, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Vitoria. The Apostolic Nuncio in Spain, Archbishop Renzo Fratini , donated him episcopal ordination on March 12 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Burgos , Fidel Herráez Vegas , and his predecessor Miguel José Asurmendi Aramendia SDB .
