Juan Guillermo Castillo , full name Juan Guillermo Castillo Iriart , (born April 17, 1978 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
Castillo, who in the Uruguayan department -Hauptstadt Durazno grew up, graduated its first mission in 1999 with Defensor Sporting . From there he was loaned to Huracán Buceo during the Torneo Clasificatorio 2001 , but then returned to Defensor for the Torneo Clasificatorio 2002. After playing there until 2006 and in any case until 2005 in 103 other games for the club in goal, he initially moved from the Torneo Apertura 2006 within the city to competitor Peñarol Montevideo . After the Torneo Apertura in 2007, his path then took him to neighboring Brazil in 2008, where he joined Botafogo. Since 2010 he was a Deportivo Cali player in the Colombian football championship . Here he initially completed 17 games in the Liga Postobón I, followed by 15 more in the Liga Postobón II. At Apertura 2011, he moved to Colo Colo in January 2011 . Here he made his debut on January 30, 2011 for his new club in the encounter against Cobresal. In Apertura and Clausura of 2011 he made a total of 26 appearances in Chile's Primera División . From mid-February 2012 he was then in 15 first division matches for the Montevidean club Liverpool Montevideo on the pitch. In early July 2012 he joined the Querétaro Fútbol Club in Mexico . After twelve league appearances, he left the club in mid-February 2013. In the 2013 Clausura, he completed 13 games for its league rivals Danubio FC . In the 2013/14 season he was under contract with Peñarol . He made 22 premier league appearances with the Aurinegros that season and played four times in the 2014 Copa Libertadores . In July 2014 he moved again to Colombia and joined Deportivo Pasto . There he was used in 16 games of Primera A. At the beginning of 2015 he joined league rivals Patriotas Boyacá . At the club from Tunja he played in 42 first division matches and nine times in the Copa Colombia . Since the second week of January 2017, he continued his career at Juventud . At the club from Las Piedras he has played 16 top division games so far (as of July 24, 2017).
National team
On September 12, 2007, Castillo made his debut for the Uruguayan national team . That year he took part in the 2007 Copa America with Celeste . In 2010 he was part of the Uruguayan squad for the World Cup in South Africa . However, it was not used here. He was also part of the Uruguayan squad at the 2011 Copa America , but was only a substitute goalkeeper there. He has played a total of 13 international matches so far. His last appearance for Celeste was on March 25, 2011, when he guarded the goal in the friendly against Estonia .
