Judi West (born December 15, 1942 ) is an American actress .

Life

West began her career with small roles on Broadway , where she appeared in the musicals A Family Affair and She Loves Me between 1962 and 1964 . The following year she made her television debut in the crime series Solo for ONCEL. In the episode Safe and Secure , she plays a young actress who dreams of a career on Broadway. In the same year she was seen in two episodes of the series The Trials of O'Brien at the side of Peter Falk .

The highlight of her acting career was her role as the ex-wife of Jack Lemmon in Billy Wilder - Comedy The Fortune Cookie for the first time in Lemmon together with Walter Matthau in front of the camera. As a result, however, she did not succeed in gaining a foothold as a film actress in Hollywood . This was followed by other episode roles in less popular series such as The Secret of the Blue Crown and Hot Traces . In 1967 she played the female lead in the Italian superhero film La donna, il sesso e il superuomo, alongside Richard Harrison . Her last film role was in 1968 in the B-Movie - Western His name was Gannon with Anthony Franciosa in the title role, a remake of Mit stahlharter Faust .

In 1971 she married the actor John Rubinstein , whereby she became the daughter-in-law of Artur Rubinstein . The marriage had two children, including actor Michael Weston . After the marriage and the birth of their children, she stopped working as an actress for several years. She briefly returned to show business in a double episode of Love Boat and in a supporting role in the television movie Dreams Don't Lie .

In 1989 her marriage to John Rubinstein was divorced. West is the mother-in-law of singer Priscilla Ahn , who is married to her son Michael Weston.
