Judith Flemig (today Judith Pelzer, born May 22, 1979 in Neuss ) is a former German national volleyball player and volleyball player of the year 1999.

Career

Judith Flemig began her career in 1995 in the volleyball boarding school of USC Münster , where she played together with Angelina Grün in attack in the Bundesliga team of USC Münster from 1996 and became German champion in her first season . From 1997 she played in the senior national team and experienced her first international tournament at the 1998 World Cup in Japan. However, the German team was eliminated in the preliminary round. Further successes were fourth place at the European Championships in Italy in 1999 and sixth place at the Olympic Games in Sydney a year later . In 1999 the fans voted Judith Flemig volleyball player of the year .

In 2002, Judith Flemig to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where she spent her last three Bundesliga years. At the same time, she also tried to gain experience in beach volleyball .

After successfully studying law in Münster , Judith Pelzer is now working as a lawyer in Schleiden .

Judith's sister Ruth Kolokotronis is also a volleyball player and beach volleyball player .

Judith Pelzer has been Vice President of the West German Volleyball Association (WVV) since 2007. She was also a player-trainer at SG Marmagen-Nettersheim , with whom she was promoted to the Regionalliga West in 2010, to the Third League West in 2013 and in 2014 to the 2nd Bundesliga North .
