Judith van Hel (born April 18, 1986 in Wermelskirchen ) is a German punk rock singer. She became known in 2013 through the talent show The Voice of Germany .

biography

Judith van Hel was already active in school bands during her school days and then had her first band Never Say Die when she was 19 . This duo with Toto Löhnert released an album before it split up in 2010. Since 2009 she sings in the six-piece punk rock band Ritaleen . In 2012 she moved to Munich.

The following year she auditioned for the third season of the talent show The Voice of Germany and made it to Samu Haber's team at the blind auditions . The eye-catching singer with the stubble hairstyle and numerous tattoos came confidently to the final and achieved the second-best result behind the favorite Andreas Kümmert in the two previous live rounds . With her own final song Fucking Beautiful she only had the third best sales figures behind Kümmert and Chris Schummert and the audience voting after the finals also confirmed this order and thus her third place in the show. Her single came to number 20 in the German charts.
