Julia Duffy

Julia Duffy (* 27. June 1951 in Ramsey County , Minnesota as Julia Margaret Hinds ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Duffy made his debut on the television series Love of Life in 1972 . She starred in the television series Newhart from 1983 to 1990 and was nominated for an Emmy for this role every year from 1984 to 1990 . In 1988 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award . In 1986, 1987 and 1988 she received the Viewers for Quality Television Award .

In the comedy Dumb and Dumberer (2003) Duffy played the role of Jessica's mother ( Rachel Nichols ). In the comedy An (im) possible hardship case (2003) she was seen in a larger role at the side of George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones .

Duffy has been married to actor Jerry Lacy since 1984 and has two children.
