Julia Stegner (born November 2, 1984 in Munich ) is a German photo model and mannequin .

Life

Stegner was discovered at the age of 14 by Louisa von Minckwitz, the agency manager of Louisa Models , at the Munich Oktoberfest in 1999 and signed by her. However, she only started modeling full-time after graduating from secondary school at the age of 18. She realized one of her first jobs for the Upper Austrian VKB-Bank (savings book model). Her breakthrough came in 2003 when she opened Yves Saint Laurent's show in Paris.

In a brand valuation study carried out by BBDO Consulting in 2005 , which evaluated the expected income streams of international top models, Stegner landed in the global ranking with a brand value of 36.5 million euros behind Karolína Kurková in second place. In the same year, Stegner received the Bambi 2005 in the “Shooting Star” category. In the 2005 Pirelli calendar , Julia Stegner was shown as "Miss September". In 2007 she was voted the best-dressed woman in Germany by Vanity Fair magazine and the “most important German model” by Stern magazine .

She worked regularly for the Victoria's Secret fashion shows from 2005 to 2011. She also had advertising contracts with Maybelline , Céline, Chloé , H&M , Guerlain , Dolce & Gabbana and Yves Saint Laurent . She was hired as an ambassador for the Berlin Fashion Week 2009.

Julia Stegner lives in New York City , where she married the Australian photographer Benny Horne in spring 2014. Their daughter was born on May 26, 2014.
