Karolína Isela Kurková (born February 28, 1984 in Děčín , Czechoslovakia , spelling mostly simplified to: Karolina Kurkova ) is a Czech supermodel and actress .

Karolína Kurková was registered with a modeling agency by an acquaintance without her knowledge and accepted there. After several appearances, she came into contact with Vogue through Miuccia Prada in Milan in 1999 and soon moved to New York City . In February 2001, her picture first appeared on the front page of the magazine. Since then she has been signed by Victoria's Secret and has run for a number of important designers. Karolína Kurková is considered to be one of the best-paid top models and in 2003 she received the title of “best-paid supermodel”.

In a brand valuation study carried out by BBDO Consulting in 2005 , which evaluated the expected income streams of international top models, Kurková achieved first place in the global ranking with a brand value of 42.6 million euros. In November 2008, Kurková won the US ranking TV station E! Entertainment carried out the World's Sexiest Woman poll for first place.

In 2009 she played the role of Courtney A. Krieger, called "Cover Girl" , in the action film GI Joe - Cobra .

Kurková was the official face of Fashion Week Berlin 2011.

Because of an operation in her childhood, she has no visible belly button . In July 2009, it was announced that she was expecting a child from her significant other, film producer Archie Drury, and that the couple became engaged. She gave birth to a son in October 2009. The couple is now married.

In November 2011 it was announced that Kurková was appearing alongside Eva Padberg in the program The Perfect Model as a juror and mentor for young models . The casting and coaching show was broadcast weekly on VOX from January 31 to March 20, 2012 .

In January 2013, she brought out her own perfume series in collaboration with LR Health & Beauty Systems .
