Vienna Awards

The Vienna Awards (long form: Vienna Awards for Fashion and Lifestyle) are an event initiated by Marjan Firouz in 2009 , at which people or companies related to Austrian fashion design are initially awarded in 11, later in up to 13 categories. The award took place annually until 2014, since then it has taken place every two years. The "Best Newcomer" category was introduced in 2012 and has prize money of € 10,000, making it the most highly endowed privately sponsored fashion prize in Austria.

Election, awarding, moderation

The 2010 award gala was moderated by Nazan Eckes , in 2011 by Sonya Kraus , 2012 by Barbara Schöneberger , 2013 by Rebecca Mir and Alexander Mazza , and in 2014 by Christian Clerici and Nandini Mitra . Appeared for the award in 2014 as guests and a. Michelle Hunziker and Tomaso Trussardi . The nominations are made by an expert committee, the winners are determined by the winners from the last three years. Exceptions are the categories Best Designer , Tribute to Fashion & Lifestyle , Best Model and Style Icon , they are determined by the committee. A separate campaign for the award has been launched every year since 2011, with a strong connection to Vienna: Riesenrad (2011), St. Stephen's Cathedral (2012), Empress Elisabeth (2013) with Emma Heming-Willis , Queen of the Night (2014) with Jerry Hall and Wiener Blut (2016).
